Ansichtskarte Loserfenster / Postcard LoserfensterThe Alpenverein Ausseerland was founded on October 31, 1874 by Dr. Josef Schreiber, Vinzenz von Posch, Johann Wagendorffer and Viktor Konschegg in Bad Aussee. Under school director Perfahl, construction of the Loserhütte began in 1882, which was extended for the first time in 1889 due to the large number of visitors. Following this, the Wildenseehütte was extended as a self-catering hut in 1920.
The section manages an 82 km network of trails in the Totes Gebirge, which extends across Bad Aussee, Grundlsee and Altaussee. In the beginning, there were less than 60 members, who had a lot of work to do in setting up and marking the trails. Today, the section has almost 1,100 members, making it the largest association in Ausseerland.
A strong team of volunteers maintains the paths, trails and huts of the Ausseerland section.

    Good climbing to you!
